Tout Puissant Mazembe winger Solomon Asante is upbeat about their chances of defending the CAF Confederations Cup title ahead of their crunch clash with South African side SuperSport United in the final.
Holders TP Mazembe qualified for the final for the African Confederation Cup final after a 0-0 tie against Morocco's FUS Rabat here.
The Democratic of Congo champions advanced on an aggregate score of 1-0 from two legs in the run to defend their title against SuperSport United who advanced at the expense of Tunisian giants Club African last weekend.
And Asante who has been instrumental in the Lubumbashi-based side's believes with the right attitude and mental fortitude they will defend the title they won last year.
“We train twice a day to prepare physically, mentally and tactically for the final, we need to defend the trophy”, Solomon Asante told Happy FM.
Mazembe, the second most successful club in CAF competitions with 10 titles, host the first leg on November 19 in Lubumbashi with the return match a week later in Pretoria.
