Former Ghana winger Laryea Kingston has reminisced the painful experience he went through after missing out on two FIFA World Cup tournaments.
The former Hearts of Oak kingpin was one of Ghana's brightest players during the qualifying phase for the 2006 World Cup in Germany but failed to earn a place in the team for the finals after picking up a red card in the Africa Cup of Nations in that same year, which the suspension extended to the global football mundial hence had to miss the tournament.
The then rasta-haired winger unfortunately missed out on the 2010 edition in South Africa after he was excluded from the final squad by coach Milovan Rajevac.
During an interview on GHONE TV on Friday, the 37-year-old recalled the emotional trauma of missing out on his dream of lining up at the global football showpiece.
“It’s a feeling a wouldn’t like any football to go through especially when you played a vital role in the qualifying process."
