Wa All Stars CEO Oduro Nyarko says he harbours fear that the delay in the start of the Ghana Premier League could push sponsors away.
To him, the long delay to the start of 2017/18 Ghana Premier League might affect their relationship with some corporate bodies.
Oduro Nyarko who was voted the Best CEO of the Year in 2016 after guiding Wa All Stars to the league trophy for the first time believes settling for a novelty league to synchronize the Ghanaian season with others will be a good option.
“The happenings in our league now are very pathetic. It has really affected our planning. We have gotten sponsorship and now the league is on halt. I’m even scared they might write off their sponsorship deal with us” he told Asempa Sports.
Oduro Nyarko argues that the Ghana FA should suspend the league this season and play the novelty league.
“The clubs should come together and play a novelty league or the FA can bring the other competitions forward to keep the boys busy” he said.
The Ghana Premier League which was expected to kick off last month has been put on hold following a court action by Accra Great Olympics to address their grievances.
