Ghanaian forward Joel Fameye sets new record in Belarus

Ghanaian forward Joel Fameye becomes the first player to score in seven consecutive games in the Belarusian Cup as Dinamo Brest won the FA Cup. 

The 21 year old scored in the final as Dinamo Brest beat Bate Borisov 3-2 to win the trophy. The former Ghana U-17 player scored since the round of 16 breaking the record set by Dmitry Mozolevsky, who scored in 6 consecutive games in the 2006/07 season.

In addition, Fameye is the only football player in the history of the Belarusian Cup, who played in all matches of his club, beginning with 1/16 finals and ending with the final. 

The youngster has been in fine form in Belasrus since joining Brest and has become a key member of the Club.

Joel Fameye is fondly remember for his exploits with Asokwa Deportivo and the local Black Stars.
