English lower-tier side AFC Telford rule out move for Ghanaian forward Akwasi Asante

AFC Telford manager Gavin Cowan has moved to dampen talk suggesting that his outfit are gunning to sign Tamworth forward Akwasi Asante in the summer.

Reports in the UK suggest that the Ghanaian striker will link up with Gavin Cowan, who was his manager at Solihull Moors - where the 25-year-old netted 25 goals to help the club win the National North title in 2016.

However, Cowan has vehemently rubbished any interest in the pacy forward when asked if he had any plans of reuniting with the Dutch born-Ghanaian:

“He’s not on our radar."

“There’s players on my radar, quite a few, and he is not one of them. I have not spoke to him about coming here.”
