Ghanaian forward Ernest Asante came off the bench to hit target for Al Jazira in their 3-1 win over Al Nasr in the United Arab Emirates top flight league on Friday.
Al Jazira were hoping to clinch a second successive victory when they welcomed Al Nasr to the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
But the White and Black lads were pegged back in the 55th minute after Al Saadi Fares-Juma put the ball at the back of his own net when he tried to make a goal-bound clearance.
However, the hosts pulled level through Brazilian forward Leonardo in the 79th minute.
With the match looking like ending in a draw, coach Damien Hertog threw Ernest Asante into fray in place of Abdallah Ramanan in the 87th minute.
The Ghanaian quickly announced his presence with a sublime strike two minutes after coming on before Khalfan Mubarak sealed the win in the 93rd minute.
