Egyptian club Al Masry have shown interest in signing Ghanaian forward Nana Poku in the January transfer window.
The former Berekum Chelsea forward is believed to be on the radar of Al Masry, with coach Ilhab Jalal reported to be keen on signing the striker ahead of the second round of the Egyptian League.
Nana Poku terminated his contract with African heavyweight Zamalek following a difficult spell at the club last season.
Having proven himself previously in Egypt with the likes of Al Shabab and Misr Lel-Mikassa, the ex-Zamalek forward currently plays for Al Wakrah in the Qatari league.
Ilhab Jalal held a meeting with managers of Al Masry and hopes to sign the forward because of the inefficiencies of the club's strikers.
It is understood Al Masry are looking at strengthening their team with players from Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids during the winter transfer period in January.
