"I am only 21. At first, I was a little scared. He knows how to laugh while being uncompromising in the work,” Kwarteng said.
“We need that. With him, I progress, he trusts me and I have stats: a decisive pass, many more balloons intercepted ... He speaks to me as my father could do. And I play even if Fabio can play. My extension may also depend on his future. "
American manager Michel Der Zakarian gave Kwarteng his debut in 2016 but did not trust the young full back then so dropped him subsequently.
The French youth international explained it was an experience that has launched him to the big stage.
"Michel Der Zakarian gave me my debut. But he never trusted me too much. However, he made me a beautiful gift aligning myself against Mantes-la-Jolie, the club where I started in 32 th finals of the Coupe de France this year, " he added.
