EXCLUSIVE: Juventus, Fiorentina chase Ghanaian youngster Abdallah Basit

Italian top flight sides Juventus and Fiorentina are interested in signing Ghanaian youngster Abdallah Basit from serie C side Arezzo. 

The 19 year old former Napoli youth player has impressed magnificently since joining Arezzo, attracting interest from several topflight sides in Italy.

GHANASoccernet can exclusively report Juventus and Fiorentina are tracking the Arezzo midfielder and could make a move for his services in January.

Abdallah Basit signed a contract extension with Italian lower division side in the summer, which will keep him at the club at 2020.

Basit has played 11 games this season and has scored a goal already. He has been described by former Napoli academy coach Loris Beoni as an exciting footballer.

"He has great physical skills especially in the defensive area, in the recovery of the ball . He was born in the year 1999 and this is enough to understand how big he can improve,'' his former coach at Napoli Loris Beoni said.

''With me he played 29 games, mostly as midfielders. In my opinion, he has good qualities to be able to grow further."
