AshantiGold to host Betway Cup for four Ghana Premier League clubs

AshantiGold want to organize a four-team tournament at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi in two weeks, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm. 

The Miners want to host Aduana Stars, Medeama SC and Liberty Professionals in a two-day tournament.

It will run from 18-19 January 2019.

AshantiGold are yet to get confirmation from the three Ghana Premier League clubs.

Also, the Miners have written to the Normalisation Committee for approval.

Excerpts of the letter read: ''We kindly request your approval to play friendly matches with Medeama SC,

''Aduana Stars FC and Liberty Professionals FC to enable us prepare adequately for the upcoming Special Competition organized by the Normalization Committee.

''The games, if sanctioned by your good self, would be played at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Saturday, 19th and Sunday, 20th January, 2019.

''Betway, our sponsors, will provide logistics for the matches.''
