Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has re-emerged on the radar of Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor ahead of the January transfer window, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
According to reports, Trabzonspor are in desperate need of the Ghanaian to boost their central midfield options for the second half of the campaign.
The Karadeniz Firtinasi are looking at various options in the market and Amartey’s name has popped up again on their wish-list.
Trabzonspor were in the hunt to sign the Ghana international during the summer transfer window but could not reach an agreement with Leicester City.
The reports further indicates that Trabzonspor want to use his compatriot Caleb Ekuban to convince him to join the club.
Amartey has fallen out of favour at King Power Stadium as manager Brendan Rodgers has been choosing Wilfried Ndidi as his defensive midfielder.
His contract with the Foxes is set to expire in June 2022.
