The just-ended Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship delivered thrilling football and remarkable talent, capped by Northern Region’s dramatic penalty shootout win over Ashanti Region in the final. To crown the competition, the tournament’s Best XI has been announced, celebrating the standout performers.
In goal is Asumadu Michael of GFA Elite Academy Kumasi, whose agility and leadership stood out throughout. The backline features Jeffrey Mensah Junior (RB, Ashanti Region), Oppong Richard (LB, Greater Accra), Kingsley Avorka (CB, Ashanti Region), and Alhassan Sulemana (CB, Northern Region).
Midfield is anchored by Northern Region captain Abubakar Kamil, with creativity from Ayimbila Richmond (Upper East) and versatile playmaker Nomo Owen (Eastern).
On the wings, Duah Dennis (Elite Academy Kumasi) impressed with pace and incisive runs, while final hero Shamsudeen Sulemana (Northern Region) dazzled with dribbling and a decisive strike in the championship match.
Leading the attack is Benjamin Owusu Ansah (Ashanti), a clinical forward whose goals lit up the tournament.
The Best XI reflects Ghana’s wide pool of grassroots talent, with representation from six regions and the GFA Elite Academy.
