Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has completed a loan move to Trabzonspor for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
The deal, which is subject to international clearance and registration, was finalised ahead of the closure of the Turkish transfer window on Friday.
Onana, 29, has not featured in United’s opening three Premier League matches under Ruben Amorim, with his only appearance coming in the shock Carabao Cup defeat to League Two side Grimsby.
Signed from Inter Milan for £47.2m in July 2023 by former boss Erik ten Hag, Onana made 102 appearances for United and was part of their 2024 FA Cup-winning squad. However, his time at Old Trafford was marked by inconsistent performances and high-profile errors.
With the arrival of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day, Amorim now has the Belgian alongside Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton as his goalkeeping options.
Manchester United confirmed the move with a short statement: “We would like to wish Andre good luck.”
