The Ghana Football Association, in partnership with the Ghana Education Service, will roll out another edition of the Football4Girls grassroots development programme in the Upper West Region.
The initiative runs from Monday, December 8 to Friday, December 12, 2025, and will cover three districts, Wa Municipal, Tumu-Sissala East and Nadowli-Kaleo.
Representing the GFA is Jennifer Amankwaa Sarpong, the Women’s Football Development Manager, who will lead sessions on the GFA Women’s Football Strategy. Her engagement will focus on implementation and the development pathways available for young female footballers.
The programme aims to increase girls’ participation in football, address misconceptions surrounding female involvement in sports, and identify promising talents between the ages of 6 and 12.
Activities will include fun games among schools and educational sessions for pupils, teachers, parents and community members to reinforce support for girls’ football.
