Ghana will begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup journey with a crucial opening match against Panama on 17 June, following the confirmation of the Group L fixtures after Friday’s draw in Washington.
The Black Stars will then face England on 23 June in what is expected to be their toughest group test. The final group match will see Ghana take on Croatia, with the date to be confirmed when FIFA releases the full tournament schedule on Saturday.
Ghana are aiming to progress from the group stage for the first time since 2010, when they reached the quarter-finals in South Africa. With three teams able to advance from each group under the expanded format, securing early points will be vital.
