Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku delivered a monstrous performance for Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday to inspire his side to a valuable away draw against Kocaelispor.
The evergreen centre-back, who was deployed to the right-back position, starred and lasted the entire duration of the goalless stalemate.
Opoku scored an outstanding 7.4 rating from the game, making him one of the best players on the field in a grueling encounter at the Yildiz Entegre Kocaeli Stadyumu.
Statistically, the former Udinese player outscored his teammates in various aspects of the game. He made 44 touches, the highest by a defender in the game while also leading in passes completed with 20 out of 24. He successfully delivered two out of his three long passes and had the most interceptions in the match.
His performances for Kasimpasa have been important for the club as they continue their quest to stay in the topflight league.
Meanwhile, Opoku has made 14 appearances in 15 league games for Kasimpasa this season, staring all the matches he played.
He is also being monitored by the senior national team as coach Otto Addo extends his lenses ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
