Bibiani Gold Stars coach Nana Yaw Amankwah is worried about how his team keeps conceding early goals in away matches.
He believes these slow starts are costing them important points, and he wants his players to show more focus from the first whistle. Despite the setback, he remains calm and committed to fixing the issues.
Gold Stars fell 2-0 to FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, a result that helped the Timber Giants protect their unbeaten home run this season. The hosts struck twice in the opening 15 minutes, with Emmanuel Kofi Essien scoring just five minutes into the game before Emmanuel Mamah added a penalty to seal a deserved win for Christopher Ennin’s side.
"I think we normally concede early goals when we go away which is very bad the same players who came back in the second half and played very well. It is one of those things you will just try and correct the mistakes and continue we will do that no matter what it will change that is the game," he told Gold Stars TV.
Gold Stars sit 4th on the table with 22 points after 13 games and face Medeama next.
