Hohoe United attacker William Oduro has opened up about the secret to beating Asante Kotoko.
The team locked horns with the Porcupine Warriors at Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday, in a Week 13 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
In the close contest that ensued between the two teams, a free-kick converted by William Oduro saw Hohoe United stun Asante Kotoko to amass all three points.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Oduro revealed that the hard work and determination of the players made the victory possible.
“Our determination to win the match was high. We knew Kotoko was a big team, but we forgot about that. We decided to work hard because we knew it was going to be tough. The hard work pays, and that’s why we managed to secure the victory,” the Hohoe United attacker said.
Following the narrow win over Asante Kotoko, Hohoe United have moved to 9th in the Ghana Premier League standings with 17 points.
Next weekend, the team will travel to Berekum to take on Berekum Chelsea during Week 14.
