South Africa will take on Ghana in an international friendly later this month as Bafana Bafana continue their build-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The South African Football Association confirmed the fixture, set for Tuesday, 16 December 2025, in the Gauteng province, though the exact venue is expected to be confirmed soon.
Head coach Hugo Broos and his squad will depart for Morocco a day after the warm-up match to fine-tune preparations for the continental showpiece.
Ghana, who missed out on qualification for the tournament for the first time in more than 20 years, are using the fixture as part of their long-term planning.
The Black Stars are turning attention to the 2027 AFCON qualifiers beginning in March 2026, and the 2026 World Cup, where they are drawn against England, Croatia and Panama in Group L.
South Africa, meanwhile, are placed in Group B for the AFCON and will face Egypt, Angola and Zimbabwe. They open their campaign against Angola on 22 December.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will run from 21 December 2025 into January 2026.
