England, drawn in Group L alongside Ghana at the 2026 World Cup, will play friendlies against Uruguay and Japan at Wembley next March.
The matches mark the final fixtures before head coach Thomas Tuchel announces his squad for the tournament. England will face Uruguay on Friday, 27 March, followed by Japan on Tuesday, 31 March, 2026.
Ghana recently played against Japan and lost 2-0 in November while the Black Stars have regularly played against Uruguay at the World Cup.
"We are really pleased to have these two fixtures confirmed as our World Cup year takes shape," Tuchel said.
"We wanted to play two teams ranked in the top 20, and test ourselves against opponents from outside Europe."
Uruguay, ranked 16th in the FIFA rankings, will be the first opponent, with Japan, currently 18th, set to follow.
Both matches provide Tuchel with an opportunity to assess his players in competitive conditions before final squad selection.
Ghana and England are scheduled to meet on Match Day Two of Group L, 23 June 2026. Prior to that, England will take on Croatia on 17 June, while the Black Stars face Panama.
Group L concludes with Ghana facing Croatia and England taking on Panama on 27 June, setting the stage for the decisive fixtures that will determine which teams advance from the group.
