The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, with six cities set to host the continent’s biggest football event. Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier and Fes will welcome 24 teams for the 35th edition of the tournament.
The opening match will take place on Sunday, December 21, when hosts Morocco face Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. The group stage will run until December 31, before the knockout phase begins on January 3.
Quarter-finals are scheduled for January 9 and 10, followed by the semi-finals on January 14. Casablanca will host the third-place playoff on January 17, while the final will be played on January 18 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros Matches split between Rabat and Casablanca, with all Morocco games in Rabat.
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe Agadir and Marrakech host this group.
Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania Matches played in Fes and Rabat.
Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana Games split between Tangier and Rabat.
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan Fixtures held in Rabat and Casablanca.
Group F: Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique Marrakech and Agadir host the defending champions’ group.

Rabat will serve as the tournament’s main hub, hosting the opening match, multiple knockout fixtures and the final. Casablanca will stage the third-place playoff, while Tangier, Marrakech and Agadir will each host knockout matches.
With fixtures spread across modern stadiums and major cities, AFCON 2025 is set to be one of the most logistically organised editions in the tournament’s history, as Morocco prepares to welcome Africa for nearly a month of football and culture.
