NAC Breda forward Andre Ayew has hailed his team's collective spirit following a hard-fought 2-2 draw away to Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven, praising the "top teamwork" that secured a valuable point.
The Ghanaian veteran, who entered the fray as a second-half substitute, took to social media to commend the squad after they twice came from behind to deny the league champions. "Top team work !! +1 we keep going NAC Breda," Ayew posted, reflecting the determined mood within the camp.
The match at the Philips Stadium was a dramatic affair. PSV took an early lead through Couhaib Driouech in the 27th minute, but NAC Breda produced a stunning response just before halftime. Boy Kemper levelled the score in the 45th minute, and Charles-Andreas Brym struck almost immediately after to send the visitors into the break with a shock 2-1 advantage.
PSV piled on pressure in the second half and finally broke through in the 92nd minute when Armando Obispo headed home a late equaliser, denying NAC Breda what would have been a famous victory.
For Ayew, who joined the Dutch side in the January transfer window, the performance marks another positive step in his integration, having now made three league appearances for the club.
The result against the league's top side provides a significant morale boost for NAC Breda as they continue their battle to move away from the relegation zone.
