The head coach of Bechem United, Kobina Amissah, has assured supporters that the team will fight to avoid a defeat to Nations FC this weekend to protect their unbeaten record against the side in the Ghana Premier League.
In the five matches played between the two teams in the top-flight league, Bechem United have won twice, with the three other games ending in draws.
On Friday, March 6, Bechem United will make the trip to Abrankese to take on Nations FC in a Week 26 fixture of the ongoing 2025/26 league campaign.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Kobina Amissah stressed that he is keen on protecting the Hunters’ unbeaten record against the opponent, although he admits there is pressure on his side heading into the game.
“There's pressure, but that pressure will not take the best out of us. We'll focus, and then psychologically, we will prepare ourselves so that this record will not be the first time to be broken, and we'll make sure we work hard to sustain that record. This is not going to be the first time of breaking that record,” Amissah told Bechem United TV.
Friday’s league fixture between Nations FC and Bechem United is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
