The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has handed down punitive sanctions against Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs following crowd misconduct during their Access Bank Division One League fixture against Nsuopun Fidelity FC.
According to an official statement released as part of the GFA’s regulatory actions for the 2025/2026 football season, Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs have been slapped with a five (5) home match ban, fined GHS15,000, and issued a formal warning for failing to ensure adequate safety for match officials.
The Disciplinary Committee found the club guilty of misconduct after supporters were allowed access to restricted areas of the stadium.
This security breach resulted in assaults on match officials, a serious violation of GFA regulations and safety protocols.
The GFA emphasised that clubs bear full responsibility for the conduct of their supporters, especially when it comes to protecting referees, match commissioners, and other officials.
The five-match home ban takes immediate effect, meaning Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs will be required to play their upcoming home fixtures at neutral venues or without hosting rights, as directed by the GFA.
Additionally, the club has been given fourteen (14) days from the date of notification to settle the imposed GHS 15,000 fine.
