Alhaji Jawula was among the government nominees who were interviewed by the FIFA delegation at the Tang Palace Hotel today.
Jawula, a member of the CAF Inter-Club Committee, has confirmed his interaction with the FIFA officials with Graphic Sports Online.
The veteran football administrator described the encounter with the team as fruitful but declined to make any further comment.
He was, however, ready to offer his services to the nation to help move Ghana Football forward.
Jawula, who is also a CAF match commissioner, disclosed that he had to delay his trip to Guinea today in connection with the CAF Chanmpions League quarter-final match between Horoya and Al Ahly on Friday.
His vast experience in the local game dates back to the 90s when he served as the GFA chairman. He also served as the chairman of the MTN?FA Cup Committee under the Kwesi Nyantakyi administration a few seasons back.
Graphic Sports Online sources also revealed that another heavyweight who was highly tipped to make the Normalisation Committee, Dr Kofi Amoah, also went through the interview process on Wednesday.
However, efforts to reach Dr Amoah, chairman of the FIFA/CAF liaison team and a former GFA member, for his reaction proved futile.
As hinted by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Isaac Asiamah, last week, all the five members of the Normalisation Committee would have to pass the FIFA eligibility test.
The FIFA delegation consists of acting CAF 1st Vice President, Amaju Pinnick, Mr Veron Mosengo Omba, FIFA’s Director for Member Associations and Mr Nicola Luca, FIFA Manager for Member Associations.
The team is scheduled to round off its activities by Friday after which the much-awaitted Normalisation Committee will be announced. Read Full Story
