The five are in alliance in a bid to present a tougher opposition to former President John Mahama who is also aspiring to be given the nod to lead the party again after losing the 2016 elections to President Akufo Addo.
Speaking to host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa Fm, Mr. Ephson said “The problem within the ‘Gang of Five’ is who they will have to accept as the number one in case they win and who will be the running mate”.
He added: “they will all feel capable of leading, when I told Alabi, he said he I will go alone because he believes in his chances but with the five there will surely have issues when it comes to the point of selecting someone to lead”.
Mr. Ephson, however, believes Ex-President Mahama with his weight going into the flagbearer contest stands tall despite the alliance of the five.
He has advised the five to campaign on thought-provoking issues in order to draw majority support from the delegates.
