The accommodation facility built from his share of the National Health Insurance Scheme support is to fix the accommodation challenges for staff of the Yendi Municipal Hospital.
The Hospital, which is a referral facility, caters for patients from most Districts within the eastern part of the region. The lack of accommodation has been a major challenge in attracting health personnel to the facility.
The Minister, who is also the Member of Parliament for Yendi said, the gesture is his contribution to efforts to attract the best personnel to attend to the needs of the people of Yendi.
The Medical Superintendent of Yendi Municipal Hospital, Dr Ayuba Abudulai, who received the keys to the facility said the lack of critical staff such as midwives, nurses, and other health care providers, is hampering the delivery of quality care to the people.

Presentation to GES
The Yendi Member of Parliament also presented a Mahindra pick to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to aid in their supervision exercise to improve the quality of education.
Alhaji Tijanni said his decision to support the GES in the Municipality, is to reduce the struggles critical staff and the Municipal Director have to go through in commuting within communities in the performance of their supervisory duties.
“There was the need for me to make a serious intervention to help the GES with a vehicle for their supervision exercise to improve quality of education and in view of that, I went through the necessary procurement policies to secure the vehicle for the GES,” the MP stated.
