Mr Aliu Mahama is expected to today, October 23, leave the shores of Ghana for the UK in honour of the invitation. He is expected to depart for Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) right afterwards.
The programme organised in conjunction with The UK Minister for Employment, MP Alok Sharma as well as MP Helen Grant will take place in the UK Parliament House, where Alhaji Aliu Mahama hopes to engage in discussions that will “afford him the opportunity to promote and secure opportunities for Yendi that shall lay a foundation stone of his vision to create a sister-city partnership for Yendi”, the statement from his office said.
The annual observance seeks to bring people together from different multi-cultural and social backgrounds to celebrate their stories and to honour the too-often neglected accomplishments of blacks in every area of endeavor throughout history.
Again, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama will on 27th October join a panel of distinguished guest to participate in an African peace conference to be held at Baitul Futuh Mosque, London. The Africa Peace Symposium is an important annual event held by PAAMA UK. The theme this year is ‘Peace and Brotherhood – Keys to a Progressive Future’.
On the 28th October, he will be expected to be at world acclaimed pretigious institution, Harvard University( Harvard Kennedy School), Massachusetts, United States, to pursue his studies in Management and Emerging Leadership.
This would sharpen his leadership capabilities and enhance his management capacity.
