According to reports, three people are in a critical condition having sustained severe burns.
The explosion started in the early hours of Tuesday when residents among others were busy preparing for the day's work.
According to witnesses, the fire gutted the Trinity Oil Gas station at Krofrom in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, but the cause of the explosion at the premises is yet to be established.
As it stands now, it is believed it may have been caused by a fire culminated from a refuse dump site opposite the gas filling station.
The victims include, the security man at the filing station and two others who are yet to be identified.
It took a combine team of residents and fire service personnel to quench the fire which could have affected other facilities close to it.
Several cars in and around the station were also burnt down to ashes, the inferno also spread to a nearby car fitting shop. Read Full Story
