GHC420K Fee: Pay GHC1,000 Mahama pledges to *713*2020* – MPs4JM

The Committee for Mahama Election Two (COMET) and MPs4Mahama, a group of 94 Minority Members of Parliament who have declared their support for former President John Mahama's bid to run for the National Democratic Congress' flag bearer slot ahead of the 2020 general elections, have begun a fund-raising campaign for Mr Mahama ahead of the NDC flag bearer election.

The fundraisers have announced an official shortcode and mobile money account through which contributions can be made.

The shortcode is *713*2020*amount# on all networks or MTN mobile money number 0540842021.

The fundraisers said all pledges of GHS1,000 towards the GHS400,000 filing fee should be sent by mobile money to 0540842021.

The shortcode *713*2020*amount# is opened for all contributions no matter the amount.

COMET said it can assure the public of the highest levels of accountability and judicious utilisation of proceeds realised.

“We also wish to stress that any amount is welcome and no amount will be deemed too small”, the fundraisers said in a statement.

This comes after the MPs4Mahama mobilised 0ver 420 pledges of GHS1,000 each towards footing the GHS420,000 nomination and filing fees of Mr Mahama. Read Full Story
