Speaking to pressmen at the Epitome of Grace building which serves as the headquarters of Menzgold, the aggrieved customer on December 24, 2018, said she had invested in the company and will ensure that every single penny was retrieved from them.
She added that her investments at the company was for the education of her three children and wondered why authorities from the Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) sat aloof and allowed such a scam to befall the country at the expense of poor unsuspecting Ghanaians. She together with other persons who had invested at the gold hub took to the streets and took over some parts of the George Walker bush high way popularly known as N1 to demonstrate over the silence of the president over their locked up cash. According to her if the president does nothing about the situation Ghana would not be able to contain whatever that happens.
Another aggrieved customer who also had his investments locked up, said he wants the government to speak up on the issue at hand because he together with other people in the same situation were going to celebrate Christmas without any money. Read Full Story
