The Porcupine Warriors sealed a historic qualification to the final after beating the Phobians 5-4 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Speaking in a post-match interview, the veteran coach said he knew Hearts would possess the ball more times but that early goal by Abdul Fatawu Safiu helped to destabilise their opponents.
“We knew Hearts could possess the ball very well and at a point in time we had to chase the ball which made us very tired. What we needed to do was to keep the ball which we couldn’t. We were fortunate to have gotten that early goal and one thing that we did well was to defend well,” he said.
