It’s West Africa versus North Africa, Iwobi versus Mahrez and Mane versus Khazri.
Senegal and Tunisia square it off in the first semi-final match of the day while Algeria and Nigeria have a date at 7:00pm.
Tunisia have had an interesting journey in this tournament, winning just one of four matches played so far.
For Senegal, it feels everything is finally coming together for the Teranga Lions who have failed to impress in previous tournaments despite having some of the best players on the continents.
Sadio Mane may have missed two penalties but with three goals to his credit, a goal today will take him a step closer to the coveted goalking award.
Wahbi Khazri was excellent in Tunisia’s annihilation of Madagascar in the quarter-finals and his expertise at set-pieces will be crucial for the North Africans today.
There are no injuries and no player is facing suspension so both coaches will field their best talents for the game.
Pre-match comments from both coaches indicate an appreciation for each other’s work but the one who will get his tactics right today will take the first spot in the final.
The two teams have met twenty times with Tunisia winning on nine occasions and Senegal winning seven. Four of those games ended in a draw. Live updates start at 4:00pm
