He explained that in spite of the numerous objections raised, the GAA went ahead to organise the congress to elect new leaders.
The GAA cited its autonomy and independence as an established entity under the International Association of Athletics Federations(IAAF) to organise the congress that retained incumbent professor Dodoo as the president for the third time.

Mr Lutterodt believes the elections held in Tamale was a charade and the behaviour of some appointed personalities of the NSA who organised the elections were an affront to the authority of the NSA.
“ This is a charade and a facade , I am glad I am not part of this clandestine election, the NSA and the Ministry must take action against the leadership of the GAA and all those involved in this fraud.” Mr Lutterodt Graphic Sports Online in an interview.
He therefore wanted the sports authorities to declare the elections held in Tamale as null and void and disregard the authority of the newly elected executives.
