He noted that the former President lacks exhaustive knowledge on governance despite ruling the country for years.
“Talk is cheap,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s 'Ghana Montie'.
According to Pius Hadzide, reducing government size is not necessarily the measure to drastic spending cuts by the government.
The remarks is in direct response to former President Mahama’s campaign for President Nana Akufo-Addo to decrease the number of his Ministers and deputy Ministers after shooting up the size of government to levels not seen in history before.
The number of Ministers serving under the Nana Akufo-Addo government jumped from 110 to 123 ministers in February 2019, following the appointment of ministers and deputy ministers to the six newly created regions.
