Solomon Asante inspires Phoenix Rising to historic 16-game winning streak

Phoenix Rising captain Solomon Asante has inspired his side to the longest league winning streak in American professional soccer history

The club marked their 16th straight win after coming from behind to defeat Tacoma Defiance 4-2 in a USL match on Tuesday night.

Trailing 2-1, Solomon Asante, Adam Jahn and Junior Flemmings found late opportunities in the span of three minutes to secure the win.

Phoenix will have another opportunity to extend the record when they play at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at 5 p.m Saturday. Read Full Story
