One of six contestants for the FA top position at the October 25 polls alongside Amanda Clinton, George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah and George Ankoma Mensah, Mr Pappoe said a strict code of conduct was the only way to manage the behaviour and control the excesses of officials and players during national assignments.
Launching his manifesto in Accra last Thursday, the former GFA vice president said a strictly enforced code of conduct would send the right signals to the players and officials to see their positions as a privilege which carried high responsibilities.

Such schemes, he said, would give local-based footballers hope about their welfare because of the assurance of a secured future after committing their youthful days to the sport.
“The welfare of players, unfortunately, is nothing to write home about and I’ve spoken to companies to provide pension schemes for especially local-based players to have a brighter tomorrow after their short football careers,” added Mr Pappoe, a director of Accra Great Olympics. Read Full Story
