The mudslide which according to road users has been a disaster in waiting happened shortly after a two-hour downpour in the area.
The mud covered the Accra-Aburi stretch of road around Ayi Mensah, creating intense traffic.
The police has since released a statement indicating that traffic diversion has been put in place to curtail the traffic between Peduase Lodge and Ayi Mensah.
The incident, barely hours after it happened generated a hashtag on twitter with several comments.

But are we surprised that the rocks are falling on the Aburi road? It was honestly just a matter of time.

Sometimes i wonder if we have engineers in Ghana. I pass by the Aburi hills and especially the Bortianor hills all the way to Tuba and i see a ticking time bomb.
