According to information available, some delegates from the Subin Constituency are alleged to have signed a document which is at the National Office of the Party indicating that they have given their approval to the move.
However, the delegates are said not to have not known what the document they signed was going to be used for, though the Party is yet to fully approve the said document.
The development is being speculated as a return of favour by the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, for allowing him to contest the chairmanship seat unchallenged.
Some of the party members who spoke to this reporter have vowed to resist at all cost any attempt to impose the MP on them.
They are, therefore, appealing that the proper democratic processes are followed in the election of a candidate by the constituents to represent the Party in 2020 parliamentary elections. Read Full Story
