The Obuasi-based club is one of two clubs selected by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to represent the West African country in next season’s edition of the CAF inter-club competitions.
According to Frimpong, the club has decided to bring in some additional players to strengthen the team, whiles they are still in talks with some of their players to extend their contracts.
“We have new players coming on board,with Latif, James Akaminko and the likes,we are trying to renew their contracts, talks are still ongoing,” Ashgold CEO Emmanuel Frimpong told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM in an interview.
Latif Anabila’s contract with the club has ended whiles James Akaminko’s has few months remaining in his contract.
The Obuasi club have already secured the service of veteran striker Nathaniel Asamoah and former Ghana Premier League topscorer Nana Poku ahead of the 2020/2021 season. Read Full Story
