The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Abaa Printing Press and ESKOM Educational Centre in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region, Mr. Asiedu Arthur, has donated a mechanised bore hole to the people of Brenyekwa, Zaabo Zongo and those around Presec and its environs.
According to Mr. Arthur, everyone is doing their best to support the fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19). “I have seen people donating Veronica buckets, sanitisers, soaps, tissues, etc. I have also decided to offer free potable water to this community. Water is indeed life, and we have seen it saving lives in these trying times. It has helped reduce the spread of the virus, hence, my decision to donate water to the people,” he said.
He continued: “The community will fetch the water free of charge, which, in a way, will help restrict movement of people as advised by Ghana Health Service.”
Mr. Arthur admonished Ghanaians to support the fight against the virus as it is causing more harm in the world. “Let us all observe the preventive protocols for Covid-19,” he said.
The water facility has four taps to enhance social distancing. It also has a reservoir to keep the tap running throughout this period. The people in the community will freely enjoy the water for the next three months.
