Information gathered by the Eastern File indicates that the heavy down pour on Sunday has caused untold havoc in Akim Abekoase in the Atewa East District.
The storm ripped off the roofs of many buildings leaving about 48 people, made up of young and old, homeless.
The situation was not different at Kwahu Afram Plains North, where, at least 50 buildings, including that of the Ewe Chief in the area, Torgbui Gayibor Clement, were damaged.
Officials of the National Disaster Management Organisation in both districts were to begin assessments of the incidents yesterday, Monday, May 11, 2020.
