The Omanhene of Ejisu Traditional Area, Nana Afrane Okese, has spewed unprintable words against the defeated Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi.
The Ejisu Chief is on tape to have described the deputy Minister of Roads and Transport as useless.
He said, during a visit by the winner of the Ejisu New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency primary last Saturday, the signs were on the walls that John Kumah would emerge victorious in the polls, which were mere formalities for a change.
The Chief, who popped champagne to commemorate the occasion, said Owusu Aduomi had outlived his usefulness for the constituency, and that his (Owusu Aduomi’s) political career had come to an end, because there was no way he could come back to public office.
The Ejisumanhene noted that it had dawned on him all the time that there was nothing good the defeated MP could offer the constituency.
According to him, a Civil Engineer, which is translated in the local parlance as a Mason, could not have done better.
Mr. Akwasi Osei Adjei, the former MP for Ejisu was present when the Ejisuhene hurled the unprintable words against MP Owusu Aduomi, who dethroned him (Osei Adjei) in the 2011 primaries.
Meanwhile, the Concerned Youth of Besease have taken a serious view of the rain of insults hurled at their MP, and given the Chief one week to retract and apologise for his unfortunate utterances, else they would advise themselves appropriately.
The youth leaders, namely, Cletus Nimo Asamoah, a former assembly member for Besease, Thomas Obeng Muller, and a UK based Ghanaian businessman, Kofi Quaning, said at a press conference on Tuesday, that Nana Afrane Okese, as Omanhene, should have known better and avoided those derogatory utterances against the MP, who is also a member of the Kyidome Division of his traditional council.
They said, by his conduct, the Ejisuhene had exhibited his shallow mindedness, and appealed to the Asanteman Council to sanction him for the insulting remarks.
The youth noted that the conduct of the Chief had also dented the image of the President, who appointed Owusu Aduomi as a deputy Minister, and should apologise to the President as well.
