The acting Chief of Akyem Etwereso, Daasebre Twumasi Dwamena Ayebiahwe, has supported churches in his community with some PPE regarding the government’s measures and directives in the fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
This donation follows a request by the churches in Etwereso to be able to meet the necessary safety protocols before church service and programmes could commence.
It will be recalled that the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, made a statement regarding safety protocols and measures churches should take to address the management of the pandemic before services could begin.
These requirements include provision of an infrared gun thermometer, chlorine disinfectants, and face masks among others.
Thus, Daasebre thought through and decided to quickly organise some of these Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to some eight churches in his area of jurisdiction.
The items are eight infrared gun thermometers, facemasks, soaps and chlorine disinfectants.
The beneficiaries include the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Methodist Church, Salvation Army Church, Roman Catholic Church, Assemblies of God Church, and A.M.E Zion Church, all situated in Akyem Etwereso.
Throwing light on the essence of the timely donation, Daasebre disclosed that making the house of the Lord more unique and respected in these trying times was most important to him, and urged commuters and the entire congregations of the various churches to strongly have faith in the Supreme God.
He also appealed to the authorities of the various churches to intercede for the Etwereso community and Ghana as a nation.
In the last three months, Daasebre Twumasi Dwamena Ayebiahwe has donated some PPE to the entire Etwereso and Osenase communities to help fight the Corvid-19.
He also donated an amount of GH¢20,000 as seed money to begin development in Akyem Etwereso, since the progress of every nation lies on the shoulders of its leader.
Pastor Akwasi Anancy, Head Pastor of the Apostolic Church of Etwereso, on behalf of all the churches and the pastors, thanked Daasebre for this wonderful donation to the churches, and sought for more blessings, good health and wisdom from God for Daasebre Twumasi Dwamena Ayebiahwe for him to be able to continue his good works.
