President Akufo-Addo says former President John Dramani Mahama does not fear God and that his claim of introducing the Free Senior High School policy looks weird.
According to Nana Akufo-Addo, before the 2016 General Elections, Mr John Mahama derided his idea of introducing the Free SHS.
According to the President, John Mahama is on record to have said that even if Free SHS can be implemented, it will take Ghana 20 years and that the idea of Akufo-Addo to implement Free SHS was a dangerous one.
President Akufo-Addo made these pronouncements when he granted an interview to Kumasi-based ANGEL FM yesterday, as part of his three-day Ashanti region tour.
After the radio interview, President Nana Akufo-Addo visited the Akomadan community in the Offinso North Municipality.
Addressing a mammoth rally, Akufo-Addo said four years ago, he came to the people of Akomadan and appealed to them for their support to help him steer Ghana from economic backwaters, which they obliged.
Expressing appreciation to the traditional leaders, Moslem leaders, and the entire Akomadan community for giving him and his entourage a rousing welcome, Akufo-Addo appealed to them to renew his mandate on December 7, 2020 and also vote for his parliamentary candidates.
He hailed Mr. Collins Ntim, the Member of Parliament for Offinso North, who doubles as the deputy minister for Local Government and Rural Development.
On his part, Mr. Collins Ntim appealed to the constituents to vote for the NPP, adding that the margin must be 10,000 votes.
Touting the achievements of the Akufo-Addo government in Offinso North, Ntim revealed that they are blessed with government institutions such as the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Training School, National Ambulance Service Training School, Green House Project, and office of Drivers and Vehicle License Authority (DVLA), which is a partnership with a private firm.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, who was the first to address the gathering, told the function that the upcoming polls have to do with works of Akufo-Addo, which has eased the burden for parents and guardians across Ghana.
He, therefore, appealed to Ghanaians to ignore the NDC and vote for NPP.
