Brighton & Hove Albion have announced that that Ghanaian youngster Tariq Lamptey has signed a new contract committing his future to the club until June 2025.
The 20 years old right-back has committed to Brighton with a contract lasting until 2024/25
Tariq Lamptey who joined Brighton from Chelsea last season has so far had 19 appearances for Graham Potter’s side. Lamptey has signed a contract renewal with the club which will keep him until the 2024/25 season. He has had 2 appearances for England u21 and is considered one of the most potential right-backs in England.
The 20 years old is under the radar of many European top clubs and the contract extension will make his price higher. Head coach Graham Potter said: “We are delighted to see Tariq commit his long-term future here.
“We knew his potential when we signed him a year ago, and hoped he would have a really positive impact on the club, and that has proved to be the case with his performances since June.
“He has been the model professional, he works exceptionally hard, is a humble lad and is a team player. He fits in with everything we would want from a player, now it’s about helping him reach his potential.”
