MO Farah triumphed at the Great North Run in Newcastle to win the race for a record fifth time.
The Olympian, who is now focused on road running full time, broke the course record with a time of 59 minutes 26 seconds.
This was his fifth consecutive race, and he won it with a health 31 second lead over Jake Robertson of New Zealand.
In the women’s race, Vivian Cheruiyot won for the second time in three years.
The London Marathon champion last won in 2016.
