Mr. John Y. Frimpong-Manso, inventor of the FrindoSoccer Indoor Soccer Board Game in Tuesday called on the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).
The visit was to introduce his world acclaimed product to the body that governs and supports sports federations and sportsmen and women in Ghana.
The USA based accountant appealed to the GOC and other business bodies to assist him make the game the choice of everybody in Ghana.
Mr. Frimpong – Manso hails from Agogo in the Ashanti Region and has worked all his life to make sure the Indoor Board Game was accepted locally and internationally.
He said despite the game’s recognition in the USA and China, his dream was to present it as a Ghanaian product manufactured and distributed from Ghana, adding that, the FrindoSoccer Game emerged one of the biggest products at the UK Games Expo 2018 in Birmingham.
He appealed to the President, Nana Akufo-Addo and the government of Ghana through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) and Ministry of Education (MoE) to support him to produce more.
The FrindoSoccer Indoor Board Game is played with a dice, by two or more people and can be played by groups or teams and is very beneficial to school children especially.
According to Mr. Frimpong – Manso, the game can be played by footballers and other sportsmen while in camp and it refreshes the mind.
Mr. Paul Atchoe, the Vice President of the GOC was very happy with the game and said it will serve so many purposes for the sports people, school children and Ghanaians at large and urged MoYS and MoE to embrace the invention and support in its distribution and sales.
George Nipah, a member of the GOC Communications team called on corporate sector players to support the production of more game boards that can also support in teaching of law of probability.
The official launch of FrindoSoccer Board Game comes off in Accra at the Ghana International Press Center (GIPC) on March 12, 2019 at 3pm.
