The Executive Chairman and Founder of Strategic Security Systems (SSS), Dr Francis Akuamoah Boateng, has been adjudged 2021 Exclusive Man of The Year (EMY) for Technology Industrialisation in Ghana.
The citation presented to Dr Boateng eulogised him, for being the brain behind the establishment of the biggest solar manufacturing plant in West Africa and other technological innovations.
The award was conferred on him for pioneering the transformation of Ghana’s solar industry through the establishment of Strategic Power Solutions (SPS).
The event, which was held in Accra on Saturday, brought together outstanding Ghanaian entrepreneurs and celebrated personalities in the country.
The Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards seek to honour mainly men and some women in Ghana and across the continent, who have contributed to the progress of their communities, countries and the world at large under the 2020/2021 year review.
Established in 2015, the award scheme is held annually to honour and celebrates eminent men exclusively.
Dr Boateng thanked the organisers of EMY Africa for recognising him and his company’s contributions to Ghana’s development.
He said he was humbled by the honour, adding that his main goal was to help advance Ghana’s Industrialisation agenda.
“Everything the company has ever done was to help Ghana’s development,” he added.
Strategic Security Systems is an international design, procurement and construction conglomerate based in Accra.
It comprises of a renewable energy solutions firm (SPS),a supply chain services provider (Strategic Clearing Agency, (SCA)), an environment-friendly property development subsidiary (LiqSOIL Planning and Engineering), and a document management ICT firm known as e-Scripts Solutions.
Tethered on principles that promote equity in livelihood for mankind, Strategic Security Systems was birthed out of a search for a viable, sustainable and efficient solution to Ghana’s energy crisis.
