The National Chief Imam, Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, over the weekend installed Adamu Hamid Ouedraogo as the chief of Moshie Yade community in Ghana at Maamobi, Accra.
Adamu Hamid Ouedraogo would work in conjunction with other opinion leadersto steer affairs of the MoshieYade community in Ghana.
The installation of Adamu Ouefraogo became necessary following the demise of his grandfather, Alhaji Naaba Killba, who was the chief of the community.
The ceremony, which brought together traditional rulers from different parts of Ghana and beyond, coincided with the 40 days celebration of the demise of the late grandfather.
DrSharubutu entreated the new chief to be firm and ensure order and peace in the Muslim community in the Greater Accra region.
He advised the chief to work hard and tackle challenges facing the community.
He, however, advised all Muslim communities in the country to support the newly installed Chief to change the face of the community.
Chief Ouedraogo, on his part, assured the Muslim community of his unflinching support throughout his reign, and that he would use his office to project and promote development.
Touching on the development in the country, he stated that unemployment has primarily been a major wrecking challenge facing his peoples, and that he would work in tandem with stakeholders to resolve that.
“I will work in collaboration with the leaders of the country to promote the development of the MoshieYade Community in Ghana and make the community the model of political and traditional co-operation in the country” he stated.
He appealed to all to support him throughout his reign as the leader of the community.
He urged the youth in the country to channel their resources into the agriculture sector in order to have economic independence.
